CHRISTIANS CAN BE SOLDIERS [Brief explanations]

CHRISTIANS CAN BE SOLDIERS

The existence of the military trouble some Christians a lot. "The job a person does and who a person is are two different things"(Luther). The Church and the state are both in God's hand, so is it really a sin when one belongs to the church and serves the state?. Here is an example; the work of a judge and an executioner, are both godly, and as such valuable. A soldier who's doing the right thing, I.e; abiding to the rules of the law, does the right thing in God's sight. Also, a Christian who depends on Christ righteousness and as well does good works in appreciation to God's love in Christ, does the right thing in God's sight, this doesn't mean a Christian cannot be a soldier. "The Lord is a Man of war, the Lord is His name" (Exodus 15:3). "What the word of God calls the sword, was instituted by God to punish the wicked, protect the innocent, and maintain peace" (Luther).
